Stay Home for the Holidays to Save MoneyWe opt'd to do a video travel this year. We are going to make a video with local family that will be traveling to see our distant family. The traveling family will make a video when they arrive. Instead of giving the traveling family a present, we are helping with their airfare and travel expenses.

Thawing Your TurkeyIf you are space limited in your frig to thaw out the turkey ahead of time, use a cooler. Make sure the cooler is sterilized, fill with cold water, and pop (plop) the frozen turkey into the water.

Decorated and embellished fabric calendar.

Jeweled CalendarCustomize a printed linen calendar-without a kit! Love the sparkle and nostalgia of felt calendar kits, but don't want to pay $10 each and up, nor do you have time/patience to sew or glue on all those sequins and seed beads? Well, here's a quicker method!

Glittery Wooden Clothes Pins for Christmas OrnamentsSpray pin with cheap white paint and use what ever coloring items you want. Good for chip bag clips, refrigerator magnets (glue a strip of magnetic piece to pin). I like glitter for Christmas tree ornaments. When clipped on to pine tree the tree lights really reflect the glitter.

Tree ornament.

Crocheted Victorian TreeHere is another ornament I made and didn't sell. This one is a crocheted Victorian tree. As most of you know, Americana is tan, burgundy, and navy. Well, Victorian is tan, burgundy, and hunter green.

Use Hanging Metal Shelves to Organize the GarageMy wife convinced me to remove the clutter in our garage with more stuff - large metal/wire shelves that hang high enough not to hit cars, but sit low enough to store plenty of boxes and other must have seasonal possessions. They look nice too considering it's just a garage.
