Peanut Butter Easter EggsWonderful family recipe that has been handed down for years as a special treat for Easter. Enjoy the mouth watering taste of peanut butter with the scrumptious addition of chocolate for a treat to your palate at Easter.

 

Banana Cake

 

Spaghetti With Meat SauceMelt shortening; add meat and brown lightly. Add onions, garlic; cook until tender. Add tomato sauce, water and seasonings.

 

Chicken Crescent AlmondinePreheat oven to 375 degrees F. Drain and slice water chestnuts. In large saucepan, combine all ingredients above; cook over medium heat until bubbly. Pour into ungreased 9x13 inch pan.

 

Lemon Caper and Garlic SpaghettiniHeat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, cook garlic and capers, while stirring, for about 45 seconds, stir in lemon juice, stir in pasta and toss to coat and heat completely.

 

Chocolate Covered Easter EggsHomemade Easter Eggs are the Best!

 

Cranberry CakeCream butter, sugar, and water mixed with evaporated milk. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and cranberries. Pour into 2 greased pie pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.

 

Breakfast EggnogCombine egg with sugar and salt. Add milk and vanilla. Serve cold in tall glasses and sprinkle with nutmeg. For fluffy eggnog, separate egg, beat yolk as above, then fold in stiffly beaten egg white.

 

Sour Cream Tuna RollsCombine all ingredients except rolls. Mix well. Fill rolls with tuna mixture.

 

Oriental Style Soup With Ramen NoodlesThis recipe can be made in twenty minutes and can be varied nicely.

 

Round Steak and RiceA favorite recipe of mine from the early 70's. It was in a magazine as an ad for rice! "You can have a good meal for two, or a Great meal for 6 from one round steak". I have found that it works for chicken, pork chops, and any beef cut.

 

Pineapple Orange Glazed Ham SteakThis recipe is for those who might only be having a couple of people over for the holidays and really don't need or want to cook an entire ham.

 

Last Minute RollsAbout 1 1/2 hour before dinner, in large bowl, stir sugar, salt, shortening into scalded milk; cook until lukewarm. In small bowl, sprinkle yeast onto warm water; stir until dissolved.

 

Caramel Apple TrifleThis is great for a covered dish dinner or large family get-together. Prepare and bake cake according to package directions, using 2 greased 9 inch round baking pans. Cool for 10 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.

 

Broccoli SaladWash broccoli and cut into small pieces. Fry bacon until crisp and crumble into small pieces. Add raisins, sunflower seeds and chopped half of red onion.

Cook Fish in Chicken BrothInstead of cooking fish in butter, use a little chicken broth. It is less fattening.
