I live next to a stream that comes down the mountain and empties into the lake across the street. We have a garden along the bank and every season is just so beautiful there.

Evergreen in the snow.
Scenery: Christmas Day Snow (North Carolina)We had a wonderful Christmas Day snow this year! It really made our holiday even more special! Everyone had an extra warm smile this Christmas!

Scenery: Fishing Area (River Walk, Augusta, GA)I was walking at River Walk, and saw all these fishing poles. The people fishing were enjoying the sunshine and not the least bit worried about catching a bite!

Sunset with bird's nest.
Scenery: Sunset (Grand Prairie, TX)This is another beautiful sunset that I took a picture of last month. I love the colors and cloud formation. You can even see a little bird's nest in our tree that's left from last summer. Spring is already arriving here and the birds are starting to sing their songs.

Garden: AmaryllisMy grandson gave me a gift of an Amaryllis bulb Christmas 2009. It has bloomed this year for the first time. It is so pretty, well worth the wait don't you think?

Lobster Boat in Winter
Scenery: Lobster Boat in Winter (Maine)I snapped this pic of my friend's dad's first and last lobster boat, the Jackie Marie, up for sale down by the road. His very first lobster boat as a young man, he bought her back after 35 years and fully restored her to her original beauty.

US Flag and US Marine Corps flag flying.
Scenery: Front Yard FlagsSeveral years ago, my husband decided to cut down a large leaning tree in our front yard and put up the flagpole he'd been wanting for quite some time. We replace the American Flag every year on (or around) July 4th, and replace the USMC around January 1st.

Wildlife: Water BirdsThe coolest critters are found near water, be it ocean, lake or pond. These guys seemed to enjoy having their pictures taken as much as I enjoyed taking them.

"Coppertina" Diablo Ninebark
Garden: "Coppertina" Diablo NinebarkThis a bloom of a "Coppertina" Diablo Ninebark. They are called Ninebark because they peel and are said to have 9 different colors of bark on them. But even prettier are the beautiful buds and the flowers in the spring.

GrosbeakThis is a photo of a Grosbeak drinking from a fountain. It was taken this winter at my sister Holly's house in Island Pond, Vermont, while I was visiting her.
