We went to a friend's house where they were taming a female kitten for us and while leaving my husband felt something on his leg, it was Teddy he had wrapped his paws around my husband's ankle. He wanted to go with his sister Sarah and us, so up into my arms he went and all four of us headed home!

We fostered her at age 5. Brittney came from a shelter into a rescue. We were her 3rd foster home. The veterinarian suggested she be put down because of aggression.

Tom (Domestic Shorthair)I found Tom and his sister Geri after leaving a friend's house. My friend lives in a rural area surrounded mostly by vineyards. It had been pouring rain on and off for 2 days and it was sprinkling. About half a mile down the road I noticed a small cardboard box a few feet from the side of the road.

Newly Hatched ChicksMy daughter hatched these chicks out for her 1st and 2nd grade classroom this month. It was an amazing opportunity for us all to see!

Lucky (Cocker Spaniel)It was the owner's lost and our gain! The family that Lucky came from had 2 dogs, a Pit and Lucky. The owners wanted to keep the Pit for breeding and said they could not afford 2 dogs. We felt that the reasons although not good, were great for our family.

Black KittenThis sweet black kitten has no name yet but lots of personality! He or she is one of our fosters that we took in a couple of days ago, in a group of four kittens. This was a picture I snapped because he or she had such an adorable expression. I love kittens, they are so full of personality and love.

Bambi (Border Collie Cross)I got her on 29 November 2016, four days after Flenters (my previous companion of almost 14 years) died. I bought her from a pet shop ~ I just could not resist those eyes! She was 8 weeks old when I bought her, the runt of the litter. She certainly has turned into a bigger and prettier dog than what I imagined.

Lee (German Shepherd)Lee is a rescue who joined us in March. He is a rescue puppy, who was returned to his breeder. After much back and forth on the 'net' he was delivered to us, sight unseen. That first day there was three feet of snow, yet he ran and ran and ran in joy. He's the best thing that has happened to us since forever.

Annie's New Bed BuddyMy daughter brought me an adorable stuffed llama from her recent vacation to Peru and my cat Annie seemed very interested in it. The next morning when I got up, she had it in her bed with her! So cute!

Kibbles (Black Lab)A relative's Lab had the puppies and she was given to my children. We have had her since last summer. The kids love her very much. She's actually becoming quite the watch dog too. She barks at anything that isn't supposed to be around the house. Alaina and I were having a ball when I took these pics.
