In 2014, my companion dog, Arlo Buddy, passed away and I was becoming very depressed. A friend told me to check out Petfinder. When I saw her photo, I knew she was meant to be my girl. She was with a rescue called Speak! for the Unspoken, and I wrote the essay of my life to convince them I was a good match for this dog.

I saw this tiny girlie sitting in her water dish in a pet store window in 1999. Please don't judge me because at that time I had no idea of puppy mills (my fur son is a rescue and we actively support rescue causes). All I knew was pure and absolute love at first sight.

Retro (Bernese Mountain Dog)
Retro (Bernese Mountain Dog)I got my boy Retro from a breeder in Lithuania! He was flown all the way to Northern California and is one of the happiest and most beautiful of all my babies. Retro came to us at the age of 13 weeks.
