I see pretty expensive pre-cooked bacon in the stores now and decided to make it myself since I don't always have the time to make bacon for a quick, hearty breakfast.

Product Review: Hellmann's Olive Oil MayonnaiseI've always been indifferent about mayonnaise. I neither liked nor disliked it. I used it to moisten an otherwise dry sandwich and found it a must for potato salad. All that's changed.

Keep Tea Bag Tab from Falling into TeaSecure a paper clip to the tab. No more fishing out the tea bag. I had a large paper clip for the picture, but a small one will work, too.

Making Lumpless Gravy or SaucesAnytime we all make gravy, there's always the issue or thought of not wanting to have any lumps in it from the flour. For many years, it was just stir or whisk them away, but that's a lot of extra stirring, and sometimes there's still even lumps left.

Making Perfect Poached EggsI find poached eggs to be such a lovely treat. So soft and delicate, yet perfectly cooked. No hard bits, no over-fried edges. Just a pillow of love.

Mock Candy AppleI love candy apples but have not eaten one in years. I don't want to take a chance on breaking a tooth or a crown. I had a little strawberry glaze left over after making a Strawberry Delight cake from a recipe on Thriftyfun. (Link below)
