Lemon Sauce For Stale CakeWhen I was a youngster my mom never threw out cake that had gone stale before it's time. She would make a yummy lemon sauce to pour over the stale cake and I must admit, sometimes I would not eat the cake and just wait for it to go stale.

Cover those Scratches on Boots!I have several pairs of black boots, I love them all, but after I've worn them a few times, they end up with white scuffs and scratches on them. I've found if your boots are still in good shape, just scuffed, you can use a permanent black sharpie marker and cover the marks! Works like a charm and sure looks a lot better than white scuffs! alic65

Storing NutsStore shelled nuts in the refrigerator on the upper shelf will last about a year. Frozen walnuts will be good up to two years. If shelling your own, remove the papery section that is between the two halves-it's bitter.
