Tip: Keep Lemon Wedges in the Freezer

I wash and dry fresh lemons. Cut them into wedges and de-seed them. Toss them into a freezer proof bag or container. Whenever I need a lemon in my drink, I add the frozen wedges.

Blow on Saran Wrap To Keep it From Sticking to ItselfI noticed yesterday that Saran Wrap or any other kind of plastic wrap does better if you blow it gently right as you are handling it. It keeps it from getting stuck together.

Recycle Old TowelsAbout two months ago I went through my towels. I had some of my own which were old and some I had inherited. I had a lot, some of which were cheap and worn.

Use a Cookie Scoops for MeatballsWhen making meatballs, it can be time consuming to roll them by hand. Instead, I use my cookie scoop. It's similar to an ice cream scoop only smaller. It makes nice even size meatballs every time and is much quicker and keeps my hands clean.

High School Graduation Gift IdeasThe oldest grandchild on my husband's side of the family graduated this year, so I came up with a gift idea to give her a good start at college. I emailed the relatives to ask for recipes, household hints, and study tips.

Make a Broom SockI took an old towel and sewed it like a pillow case to the size of my broom. It works great to cover the broom, when I dust around the ceiling for webs and dirt. It keeps any dirt from the broom getting onto the walls. I just wash it in the laundry when it is dirty.

Removing Stuck Lids from JarsI like to use Marmite in my soups and stews for additional depth of flavor, but that lid glues itself shut to the jar and it's an impossible task to get it open. It is kept it in the refrigerator to ensure freshness, so this may be a contributing factor.

Using Rabbit Litter as Compost and MulchI have several indoor pets that include 2 rabbits. I use cedar shavings in all the cages. When I clean the cages I dump the used shavings in my flower beds for mulch as well as fertilizer.
