Gardening with plants native to your area has so many benefits. They attract local birds and butterflies. Native plants are resistant to pests and diseases, therefore require little care. They also need less water. Some of my natives are orange coneflower, bee balm, and daylilies.

The Long Awaited Wisteria BloomSome varieties of wisteria have a raceme, that can be as long as 30 inches and covered with over a hundred flowers. The variety I'm growing has a raceme averaging 12-18 inches and is covered with many fully developed flowers. So why would I post a picture of what appears to be a little, underdeveloped raceme?

Reproducing a Rare Type of Chilli (Naga...My father planted the seeds from over ripe peppers. It's been here for years and I never knew it was famous and rare until someone came to ask for these chillis. They call it the "siling demonyo" in my local dialect, where "sili" means chilli and "demonyo" means demon - pertaining to its level of hotness.
