Sewing Machine Top Thread Breaking?
Ive had that problem on my Singer. For me its the tension. Ive had it adjusted and they also told me to use a good quality thread - not cheap poly or even a combo. I use Gutermann, it helps.

Stacked Stars from Food Packaging

Stacked Stars from Food Packaging
Great idea to reuse that cardboard (which I currently recycle)! Do you use an exacto knife to cut the shapes? Seems like youd go through blades pretty fast. I have a little arthritis in my hands, so I need to have something that cuts easily.

Crafts Using Recycled Floppy Disks and CDs?
The sewing ornament is very unique, but it looks quite heavy, might be something fun just to hang in the sewing room. The coasters look very well done also. I love the Christmas tree idea. Ive made the sun catchers before. Will try this next month! I wonder...

Crayon rollups.

Craft: Crayon Roll-Ups
It looks like youve used cotton or flannel and stitched two rectangles together (bound edges) and made crayon pockets on the inside by stitching lines through both pieces? Pictures & instructions would be helpful. Nice idea!

What To Harvest From Your Flower Garden
Many other flowers have seeds hidden in their dried heads, such as zinnias. I also harvest seeds from any flower that produces a brown seed pod, such as ladys slipper or touch-me-nots. You can save the whole pod or carefully break it open on one end and tap...

Purse Made from Old Ties

Purse Made from Old Ties
Looks cute! I have this on my to do list. Ive heard that its important to make sure all the ties are of the same fabric content, not a mixture such as silk/polyester. I suppose this has more to do with laundering later, but it might also affect the sewing process...
