That is true Lokisdad. The trick is to not freeze it for too long. I freeze things because I buy it on the due date. This means it has to be cooked or frozen that day. The next week or two I unthaw it and cook it. I agree fresh is always better but great buys...

You could put a black ground cover netting over your cement pond to keep the cats away. Another trick is to sprinkle a circle of cayenne pepper around the outside . This will also keep ants and bugs away from your plants.
