Lemon-Cheesecake PieThere are three things I require in all of my recipes: quick, easy and good. I don't have any long, complicated, expensive-to-make recipes because, to me, that would take most of the joy out of cooking.

Artisan BreadWhile looking into recipes online one day, I came across a review of a book "Artisan Bread In 5 Minutes A Day." I am an avid bread machine user and like it, but I have tried this method more than once and I love the result of the breads.

Designer Names at Thrift ShopsGet to know brands for the best thrift shop bargains! A $7 purse is nice, but a $7 Anne Klein purse is an even better value. The brands will probably be better made, so that the item will wear better too.

Home Made FramesA walk down the framing aisle of a department store reinforces the known expense of designer frames. Some small but beautiful frames costs $16 or more. However, they are easily made by both adults and children for minimal prices.

My Frugal Life: Happy BarginistaBeing known to stretch a pretty buck has been my forte as it has kept me in-tune to bargains, better eating habits, and extra cash on a rainy day. It has also rubbed off on the bad spending habits and bad financial values of my husband.

Wildlife: Mr. Bird (FL)I took this picture with an Easy Share camera. He was sitting on a beam on a pier in Dunedin FL. I got the camera level with the beam he was sitting on without getting the beam itself. I was surprise to see the outcome.

Questions

Removing Stains on a Stainless Steel Pan?I fell asleep on the couch shortly after I'd put water on to boil in a Revere Ware saucepan. It's somewhat discolored, usable, but discolored. Any ideas on how to get it shinier?

Flavoring Water Without Adding Calories?I can't consume artificial sweetener of any kind without getting really sick, so I freeze chunks of fresh fruit and put in the freezer to use as a flavoring and cooling agent. Pineapple, lemons, limes, apples, pears, watermelon, and honeydew are all good choices.
