I was trying to take a picture of this tree in front of my house filled with birds. Right when I was taking the shot, the neighborhood ice cream truck came by with its blasting song, scaring all the birds away except this one!

Butterflies and Zinnias
Butterflies and ZinniasThis is warm sunny afternoon out walking with my grandkids. I pack a camera always. This was the first year to plant zinnias, and I never knew the attraction they were to a butterfly.

Scenery: Quaint Thatched Roof Cottage (Tralee, Ireland)Tralee is a very pretty town in County Kerry, Ireland. This town hosts the annual international Rose of Tralee pageant. I came across this cottage right on the main street in town. It is so unusual with its thatched roof.

As I sat gazing out on the waters feeling so amazingly content, I caught a glimpse of these two swans oblivious to everything around them.

Wildlife: Baby BunniesWhat happens when your husband waits too long to start mowing the grass in the spring? Bunnies, of course! Luckily I found these little fellows before I started up the mower, leaving that corner alone until the babies were grown.

Bird Convention (Snowy Egrets and Canadian...These snowy egrets and Canadian geese seemed to be having a conference, as they were in the same place an hour later when I drove back by. The geese were letting themselves be heard while swimming back and forth in front of the Egrets.

Snow off the back porch.
Scenery: SnowHere is the last of the big snowfalls in early 2011! This was taken from a small opening in my back door. The snow was deep, but the drifting up against the front door kept me from opening it.

Two wild turkeys in a backyard.
Wildlife: TurkeysWe discovered these prancing "toms" vying for the attention of 8 hens (who were not in the least interested) while strolling through our back yard. I guess April is their mating season?
