Mix with 1-2 cups of hot water, enough hot water to fill spray bottle. Shake bottle well and wait till crystals dissolve. This makes your home smell wonderful.

Tip: Remove Planter Warts Permanently

This tip for removing planter warts has worked on both my sons. They get them on their feet. Use clear nail polish and seal it with duct tape. This method truly gets rid of them permanently, but it can take up to a year. If you are not diligent about it, it can take longer.

Tip: Ammonia To Whiten Clothes

I found a way to whiten and brighten my clothes without bleach or Oxyclean, which I am allergic to. I take a bucket of approximately 1/2 gallon of very warm to hot water and 1 cup of lemon ammonia.

Tip: Chain Clothes Drying Line

I use lengths of painted, rustproof chain instead of cotton or nylon cord on my clothesline poles. Then I hang the clothing on hangers and put on the line. When they're dry, all I have to do is hang them in the closet! Towels can be hung the usual way, with clips.

Tip: Keep PC Dust Free

I wipe the table that I use for my desk and laptop with a bounce dryer sheet. I also wipe the outside of the PCs and keep one in my laptop bag. It cuts down on dust and keep my PCs running cool. Dust is a computer's worst enemy!

Keeping Favorite Recipes HandyI keep my favorite, often-used recipes inside the cabinet doors above my kitchen counter. No more fumbling with pages in a cookbook with cookie dough on my fingers or books taking up space on my counter.

Paper Training a PuppyI don't train my dogs to use an actual litter tray, but instead teach them to use a pad of newspaper. It is just as effective for small dogs who mainly live inside as it is for a larger dog who might be housebound or "caught short" when inside.

Peeling BeetsRaw beets are hard to peel. It is best to cook them first, drain, and rinse with cold water. The peels come off easily. Also, don't throw away the tops. Beet greens are my husband's favorite vegetable.

Drumstick As Magic WandMy niece wanted a magic wand after watching some Harry Potter movies. I found an old drum stick at a yard sale and painted it in colors that she likes and added glitter. She really likes it.

Flyaway HairWhen your hair is full of static and you can't do anything with it, just rub a dryer sheet on it. My 5 year old is always full of static and her hair is always looking unkempt. The dryer sheet works well. It will also stop static on clothes if you rub it over problem areas.

Homemade Shave CreamUse 1 cup shampoo, 1 cup conditioner, and 5 tablespoons of lotion. Keep it in a plastic bottle, mix well. I love this stuff. You can use your favorite kinds of hair products. It makes your legs really soft.

Homemade Stain RemoverUse 2/3 cups of dish soap, 2/3 cups of ammonia, 6 tablespoons of baking soda, and 2 cups of warm water. Mix everything into a spray bottle and shake well.

Removing Labels from Products After PurchasingSmall items I just soak in Dawn detergent and hot water. For larger items like a windshield, or mirror, or window, etc. I use Avon's Skin So Soft. Apply it to the sticker, let sit, and peel off, or use a paper towel to rub off. Then use detergent to wash the oil off, simple and painless.

Use a Coffee Filter In Potted PlantsWhen you're using a planting pot, the bottom always has a hole for the water to drain out.To avoid losing dirt out of this hole, just put two coffee filters in the bottom. This will keep dirt in and allow for water drainage.

Stop Super Glue from Drying OutAfter opening a bottle or tube of "Super Glue", put it in the refrigerator. It will never dry out! I've had a bottle in the door of my frig for 10 years or more and it's still like new. One of the maintenance men in the factory where I worked told me this.

Tongue Scraping to Treat Bad BreathMy young nephew's halitosis let up after his mom started using a tongue scraper on him nightly. We started using them in our family as well. Our favorite one is the Tongue Sweeper since it's metal and lasts a long time without nicking and is easily sterilized.

Using Peroxide to Get Rid of Bad BreathDip your toothbrush in peroxide and brush to kill germs that cause bad breath. You may also gargle with peroxide but have a glass of water ready as you will want to gargle with that also. It really works. Some might have to do two to three days.
