My husband I are retired & live in the country. We love WV. I never get tired of the beauty of the mountains or creek in our back & the animals here. Its hard to keep a garden of flowers or veggies, the deer & bunnies won't leave them alone. I love my family, I have 4 grown children,& 5 grandchildren & 2 greatgrandsons.I like to see them as often as we can & we always get together for Birthdays & Holidays. I keep busy with crafts, reading & the internet. I am also a member of the Red Hats, i enjoy meeting with ladies my age. We usually get together once a month. I really enjoy reading all the tips & recipes from Thrifty Fun & i keep busy sending in tips & recipes. I get my extras from the money i have won on Thrifty Fun.

Drying Flowers With Cat LitterAt this time of year, we have a lot of beautiful flowers blooming. A cheaper way of drying them is to use a cheap cat litter. Make sure you use the plain clay litter. Line a box with paper towels, put a layer of cat litter on the paper towels.

Looking back at train

Travel: Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad (Romney,...This is a photo of the Potomac Eagle Scenic Train ride we took from Romney, WV. The view was just beautiful. We were lucky enough to see several bald eagles. The ride lasted about 2 hours, and we really enjoyed it. It was such a great, fun day!

How Do I Thin Nail Polish?I had some nail polish that was getting too thick to use, so instead of throwing it away, I poured nail polish remover in it. I just poured a little at a time. Shake it good and if it's still too thick, add a little more. Do this until you can put on your nails smoothly.

Hang Soap At Outdoor SpigotThis is a great tip for gardeners. Take an old pair of pantyhose and put a bar of soap inside. Tie a knot, keeping the soap in place in the toe. Then tie around water spigot and knot.
