I am engaged to be married next year. This is a second wedding for both of us, so we are really on a budget since we are paying for everything ourselves. Here is some advice I can offer from what I have done.

As the queen of mending, here's another sneaky tip. If there are discolorations, such as bleach spots on your clothing, you can "mend" them by trying to fill in the bleached spot with various coloring methods.

Tip: Use Vinegar for Cleaning

Vinegar is a cheap and easy cleaning solution. Vinegar is naturally antibacterial. In my kitchen, I use one part vinegar to one part water to clean the counters and sink, and to disinfect.

Check eBay For HDMI CablesLook at HDMI cables on eBay. You can get them for under five dollars. Look for a well rated seller and go ahead and get one. We bought our first HDMI for about 80 dollars. We bought our second from eBAy for about 3 dollars.

Microwave Chocolate for PretzelsI simply melt white or milk chocolate bricks (found in the baking section of the grocery store) in the microwave for about a minute. Dip the pretzels in the chocolate and put them on waxed paper on a cookie sheet.

Use a Notebook for Organizing BillsI am on Social Security and I pay all my bills on the 3rd of each month. When a bill comes in I open it, write the amount in a notebook, and place the bill in a old refrigerator bin I keep in my desk.
