I had my husband drill several small holes in the lid. Then I stuffed cotton balls inside and poured scented oils in it. It doesn't leak. I put them in my vehicle to make it smell good.

Tip: Bag Balm for Chapped Skin Relief

Buy Bag Balm, in the green tin. It was made for farm animals and has an antiseptic in it for healing cracks and dry skin. Do not use on lips or get into private parts or eyes.

I live in the tropics where the air is very damp and mold on everything including clothes, shoes, and other leather goods is a big problem. I have had lots of success using the Space Saver brand plastic storage bags.

Make your own cheese and crackers for pennies! needing just a bit of shortening, I came upon a great idea. These Crisco tubes, containing baking sticks, are perfect for 12 crackers and a hunk of cheese. You can also use them for veggies, fruit, nuts, and other things you can't eat like meds, change, and so much more.

Entertaining Menu ChecklistThere is nothing more frustrating than opening your refrigerator after a party and seeing a dish you forgot to serve. To avoid this, several days before an event, I make a list of the menu. I list all the items, and any foods or utensils that will be used with it.

Frugal Liquid Hand Soap TipsLook for any liquid soap that is inexpensive to use as a refill to your hand soap dispensers. I've found liquid bubble bath and shampoos that are much cheaper per ounce than the prepackaged liquid soap refills.

Spray Bottle Sidewalk ChalkIt is summertime! This will keep the kids happy for awhile. You will need food coloring, warm water, spray bottle and flour. I get the spray bottles from the dollar store.

Use Phone as Shopping ListI am always losing my shopping lists. Since I always have my phone with me, I put my list on my phone's notebook. As I collect the groceries, I delete them off the list. It also helps me to stick to the list, with less impulsive buying.

Easy Blender CleaningFill your blender halfway with water, then add a drop of dish soap and 1 tablespoon baking soda. Replace the lid and blend.
