Chicken in a WatermelonYou did not read this wrong, it is indeed a chicken cooked inside of a watermelon. This recipe was posted in the New York Times as an April Fool's joke, but I tried it out, with my own adjustments, and it was one of the most spectacularly juicy chickens I'd ever had. No, you can't taste the watermelon, and yes, it is so worth the time to do this. Summertime makes watermelons abundant and cheap, so please give this a try. It's an awesome summer party showstopper.

Cook Lentils with Brown RiceOrganic brown rice has been a staple for my family all my adult life. In the last few years, I have been enjoying small brown Spanish lentils for soup and stew. Recently I tried adding these lentils to my long grain brown rice before cooking.
I found that using 1 part lentils to 4 parts rice was perfect. Not only do they cook in the same pot, it tastes great, and helps complete the protein of my meal.

Older Dog Won't Eat?I have a 14 year old Pekingese, named Jazzy, and she will not eat. For the past 3 days she would not eat at all or at the least a piece of bacon or egg. We have always given her dried food and she has always been fine with it, but for some reason she just stopped. So today we gave her wet food and it still didn't work.
