This is a good idea for recycling your laundry detergent containers, Clorox or gallon milk containers. These work really well for holding your toilet bowel brush.

Craft: Matchstick Creations

I am Mr. Bill and I have been building craft items out of matchsticks since the early 50's. I make all kinds of crafts from crosses to trains. This craft began back when I was a boy and my dad had a truck stop.

Calculating the Amount of Paint Needed to a Paint a HouseTo estimate the number of gallons of paint needed to cover the outside of a house, first multiply the distance around the building by the average height (if the building has gables, add two feet to the average height before multiplying).

Craft: Bittersweet Pumpkin DisplayCreate a beautiful, natural autumn centerpiece using a pumpkin, dried wheat, leaves, and bittersweet. For rectangular tables you can place a smaller pumpkin on each side and arrange the wheat/grasses, leaves, and bittersweet around them as well.

Cut Tube Open Before Throwing AwayTo keep the contents from drying out, I put the container in a small sandwich bag. I also do this with bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion that are too low for the pump to get to the contents.

Hold Tail End of Zucchini When GratingI had to bake zucchini bread today and it called for grating a zucchini. I didn't want to cut my fingers, so I turned the zucchini upside down and held onto the tail end, making it easier to grate and safer for my fingers at the same time. The bread tasted delicious!

Keep Rags by Door for Pet's PawsRecycle old clothes that have absorbent fabric. Cut into small rags, fold, and place in a small bin or drawer by the front door. When pets come in from outside on those rainy days, you have something absorbent to wipe their paws, rather than tracking mud through the house.

Keeping A Hide-a-Bed CleanWe have 2 small kids. To keep their crumbs and doo-dads from finding their way into the clean sheets and mattress of our couch hide-a-bed, I always tuck the sheets in tight and fold it half way up.

Spa Bath SaltsHere is a bath salt I made. So relaxing and also great for gifts. Mix salts in a bowl, then add essential oils and food coloring (start with 8 drops or so and add more as needed).

Use An Ice Cube To Remove Indents In CarpetIf you move furniture from carpets and dents are left behind, try putting an ice cube or two into the dent and let it melt and dry. If it doesn't work after the first try, do it again. I've tried it lots of times and most often, it works well.

Use Empty Kleenex Box For Dryer LintI use empty tissue boxes by my washer and dryer to put the lint and used dryer sheets in. They hold an incredible amount and because of the small opening with plastic lining, it keeps the lint from flying around in the air!

Repairing Plastic BinsYou can fix cracked and broken plastic storage bins with spray on liquid tape. Spray the edges of the break and fit them together, then spray both flat surfaces of the broken area to form a patch that extends outwardly about an inch from the break.

Auto Microfiber Towels For Drying DogAfter bathing my chihuahua, I wrap her up in a microfiber towel used to dry off your vehicle. These are larger and are very absorbent. I don't have to use two bath towels to dry her off. The microfiber towels works so much better.
