We took three kittens from a friend, who couldn't take care of them, and this kitten was just adopted to a new home a few days ago. She is doing wonderfully. The other two were also adopted the previous day.

In this photo he has just been released from the hospital after having life saving emergency surgery when he bloated and his stomach twisted! It's a genetic disorder in large breed dogs with deep chests like Bernese, Great Danes, and Great Pyrenees.

Bessy (Pot-bellied Pig)We bought our pig when she was six weeks old as a companion for our daughter. Bessy is an outdoor pig who comes inside to visit, and she enjoys laying on the couch, including on the top of the couch where she lounges like a cat. I think her back-of-the-couch days will soon come to an end as she grows, however!

Slim-Jim (Boxer Mix)We've had him for so long that I actually can't remember how many years exactly it's been. My brother rescued Jimmy from a veterinary office that he used to work. Suspected to be a possible truck/travel dog who may have gotten away from his previous owner on accident, Slim was found wandering near the vet by himself.

Belle (Boxer-Pit Mix)My oldest daughter got her in Dallas from a friend whose Boxer had a fence jumper visit. We thought Belle would be a good addition to the family since my Rottie mix, Skye, was so sadden by her buddy's death. Belle, being a puppy, did adjust and they became fast friends.

In Memory of Lacy (Black Labrador Retriever)We adopted this beautiful girl in 2008. Lacy was a rescue that our vet determined to be about 6 years old. Sadly we lost her last summer, but I still miss her ever day as she was my constant companion, always at my side.
