We live in Florida and half of the year we are prepping for hurricanes and my dog may have to stay in for hours or even days during bad weather. I went to my local garden center purchased a couple of pieces of fresh sod(yes you can buy pcs! About $2.50 each) I put the sod in a cheap plastic kiddie pool on my back porch and voila! Outside potty inside!

Hidden Treasure When ShoppingWhen I make my grocery list, I put how much I'm willing to spend next to each item. If I catch something on sale or have a coupon for it, it's like a hidden treasure. I put the difference in savings. Also, I keep my lists in a spiral noteook. I can look back to see how much I paid for an item, and I can usually tell what items I have on hand so I don't buy stuff I already have.

Medical Information for EmergenciesI was in a car accident three months ago. The ambulance took me to the hospital from the car accident. I didn't have a list of the medicine I take and what I am allergic to. My tip is to keep your list of your medicine in the car or in your purse so that if you are in a accident, the doctor will know what you are taking.

Substitutes for Measuring SpoonsIf you are moving and don't have the kitchen stuff unpacked yet, this might help. A cap from a coffee creamer is exactly one Tablespoon. A cap from a flavored water or soda bottle is exactly one Teaspoon.

Converting Dolphin Fountain Sculpture Into KoiI have a pond. I wanted to use a fountain, however it was themed with dolphins and dolphins are supposed to be in the sea. So it didn't match my freshwater pond. I decided to reconstruct the dolphins and make them into koi by adding cement and plaster of Paris.

Let the whole top of your finger soak to get rid of dark marks. Then, just wash your hands as usual. No chemicals needed or used. This works wonders for those doing heavy soiling work. I got my idea from a you tube video by Mom Eberhard. You I cut the tops and bottoms off the bags and loop them together. I did a 4 string braid. I made one for a friend and she uses to sit on aluminum bleachers and said it works great.
