Button Swap

I collect and save buttons. I look for garments with pretty, or different buttons at yard sales and thrift stores, and buy them for the buttons, alone. I remove buttons from my worn clothing.

I swap buttons on blouses and dresses. It is fun how just changing buttons can make clothing 'feel new'. Try fancy buttons on a 'plain' garment, or simple buttons on a 'fancy' garment.

Changing buttons can make you feel like the garment is new, again.
Buttons are like jewelry on your clothes, and different buttons give clothes different looks.

I have been a button person for several years. Last year when moving I spotted my aunt's navy pea jacket button in my pack. Buttons are many times your history when so and so visited or play with. Today my aunt is 84 and her gift from me will be the button with the history.

Many of buttons have been shared with families and friends. My great grand daughters like going in my button box and hear the stories how some of the buttons came from my mother's box years ago.
