What Material Is My Coffee Table?I recently purchased this table from a private party and he said it was a unique Goa table from India, but it had this one mark on it already when I bought it. It looks like it's made out of snakeskin or some kind of skin or cardboard because the spots I try to scratch them off and they get bigger so it's obviously cardboard or something. I want to know what I can use to protect it, like a polyurethane or something. The outer is wood and the brown layer is like a tile I think and then the middle is like a cardboard or something like that. I'm not sure what I can use to keep it from getting more spots on it.
