I experienced bomb sprayed tar to repair a tiny hole in a gutter ... Great memory I ended up with tar all over my face and my glasses .... because I had pushed on the top of the bomb with the opening towards my face, not towards the gutter. So I can talk from experience : butter does it better than olive oil.
