Not positive, but looks like a cutting of a ficus. Cuttings (of various plants) are often used as filler in arrangements, therefore dont have the proper root systems in place. Give it time perhaps? Look up ficus.

Something like an ice-blue. Work that colors various shades in as accents around the room too. And maybe tiny bits of orange for a color scheme of taupe/brown, ice blue, white/cream, orange. Or, leave out the orange if thats not for you.
