A nice combination of sweet citrus and pungent ginger.

Garlic PickleBraise crushed masalas and seeds in oil. Remove and let it cool a little. Add garlic. Boil vinegar and tamerind and salt together till thick.

Pineapple PancakesSpread crushed pineapple on paper towels to remove as much juice as possible. After pancake has been cooked on one side, sprinkle pineapple onto the pancake just before flipping it over.

Christmas PuddingWe always had one of these at Christmas, traditionally called a 'clootie' dumpling because they were boiled in white cloths. There are many recipes for clootie dumpling but I find this one easiest and not too rich.

Paani PuriThis is a simple recipe. Sieve flour in a bowl and add water to make a stiff dough. Knead smooth and rub a little ghee in your palm of your hand. Knead till its evenly textured.

Fruit SconesScones can be served at breakfast or a tea time treat. Preheat oven to 390 degrees F. (200 degrees C.) Sift dry ingredients. Add sugar and rub in butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add raisins.

Ham and Spinach SoupMelt the butter in a saucepan and saute the ham, carrots, turnips and leeks over low heat.

Parmesan Chicken WingsMmm, mmm good! You can also opt to not separate at the joints and remove wing tips if you choose. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Melt butter in small saucepan, add garlic and stir. Turn off heat.

Pinto Beans and PotatoesCook dried pinto beans in a crockpot on low all night. This is really good. Cook pinto beans in a crock pot over night on low. Turn off when done.
