Forks around growing vegetables.

Forks to Keep Critters Away in the Garden
Sounds practicable! Hubby is always looking for new ways!

Taking a check out of an envelope.

Frugality And A Question Of Morals
Youve asked thoughtful questions, and many thoughtful answers have been posted. I would agree to toss the check; however, if there is a catch, you still may not be required to participate in the promotion. Just check the small print carefully to judge the extent...

Been doing that for decades.

Low-Carb Crispy Garlic Shrimp
Do you use raw or already-cooked shrimp? (Looks like youd use raw.)

Use Mineral Oil to Salvage Objects
Great suggestion. Where have you been when I needed you, haha.

A sad and small Christmas tree.

The Christmas Tree Grinch
We have an artificial tree only because my husband doesnt want to spend money for something that wont last. Thats reasonable, but the real reason I want one is the fragrance of the Frasier Fir. And I enjoy decorating one, inhaling the aroma while doing it. Thats...

Start Instant Coffee with Cold Water

Start Instant Coffee with Cold Water
Sounds very useful, thanks! Usually when we spend the night at friends homes, their coffee is too weak for me, haha, so I carry a small jar of instant. I can sneak this in my cup!

Eat Leftovers And Be Grateful

Eat Leftovers And Be Grateful
One of the things I hate most is waste. That includes food. If I had to work in a restaurant, Id have nightmares every night, if I could sleep at all. Even little bits of leftovers at our house go into soup (made out of homemade broth in the first place). If...

Use Towels to Dry Clothes Faster

Use Towels to Dry Clothes Faster
Thats interesting, will have to try it. Ill need to use a timer to remember to remove the towels.

Plastic placemat on shelf.

Keeping Your Refrigerator Clean and Organized
I usually dont have a problem -- Im a bulldog about keeping drips out of the fridge in the first place. I wipe off any container that has anything on it, and if I see a spot on a shelf, I wipe it off immediately. This is not bragging, its just so much easier...

Towels Smell After Washing?
Youre right about the dryer sheets. I never use them anymore. When we used to visit a certain relative and were to spend a few days, I always took my own towel. Hers were so full of dryer sheet deposit that the only way you could dry off with them was to spread...

We also save the extra paper napkins that come from eateries. By law, once the napkins are given to the customer, they cannot be taken back and must be thrown away. We even take home the napkins we used, if theyre not very dirty. Also, we use one napkin several...

Bingo! Could have written this myself. We do exactly these things. I once made a roll of paper towels last 13 months. We never take extra napkins at an eatery, but once theyre provided, youre correct, they cant be taken back. We also re-use paper plates until...

Saving Buttons
I could have written your post myself. In the D.B.T. (Days Before Television) I watched my mother sew by the hour and make pies, and Id play with her button box -- by the hour! I still have most of them, have used some over the years. Thats almost 80 years...

Sewer Odor Coming from Sink?
Ah, we tried bleach in our shower drain for a while, and the bleach ate through the pipes and down through the ceiling below. What a mess.

Rag Wreath
Good idea, and as Jill T. said, adaptable to different sizes.

A knitted item with a ball of yarn being unraveled from it.

Recycle Yarn From Old Sweaters
When winding the yarn, be sure to wind it loosely so it will relax. The resulting ball should be soft and squishy. If its wound tightly, it will relax AFTER youve knitted with it, and the resulting garment will be rather smaller than you intended.

Mildew Smell on Towels?
Youre correct that towels staying damp causes them to get smelly. We put ours to dry on a rack immediately after using, before putting them in a laundry holding area. We wash in cold water and dont even have to use vinegar.

Mildew Smell on Towels?
In my experience, the moldy smell comes from letting linens stay wet or damp after use. I make sure they get dry before stashing in the laundry or before hanging for the next use. I always use cold water for washing, never have to use hot.
