Keeping Originals of Birth and Death Certificates?

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 104 Posts

I have scanned old birth and death certificates, marriage license, etc. to a thumb drive. I will keep hard copies of my birth certificate and marriage license for myself and my children. Is there any reason I would need these original documents of deceased relatives. Getting rid of clutter.
