My cat is five years old and has lost fur on both of his back legs and hip area on both sides. There are no sores or irritated skin. We just switched to Blue Brand food. He gets monthly flea treatments and otherwise seems normal and active. I am assuming this is a skin problem or allergy? The vet said it was anxiety.
I'm out of town on vacation and decided to make a split second decision on getting a new puppy. She is a 9 week old black Lab mixed with a Cattle dog. Her first stool was normal and hard, but the next 2 have been bloody mucousy diarrhea.
My 2 1/2 year old Lab mix has started pooing in my basement. His environment hasn't changed in any way. Will be getting him fixed help with this problem? He is hardly ever alone and goes outside a lot.
What day and time thus the truck comes to the Bronx?
I have rescued a stray cat that has tapeworms. I think this, only because I have seen them and they look like tapeworms. I do have a vet appointment set up, but it's for next week. The cat is outdoors, but will come in. What should I do with the cat until the appointment?
My dog just gave birth to 8 pups. She keeps laying on them and she never seems to notice or care, so we move them away from under her and put them near her teats or with the rest of the litter. We don't have a whelping box, and we all work four hours a day. I don't want her to smother them.
I have a beautiful 14 week old female mini Dachshund. Every night she gets these black bumps on her head. They look like hives, but she doesn't even notice they are there. I took her to a vet and he said they would just go away. The problem is the bumps are getting bigger and I'm getting worried.
I just pulled out a white worm from my cat's anus. I don't have money to take him to the vet. What should I do for him? How do I treat it?
We brought in a stray kitten a few days ago and initially he seemed to have taken to the litter box well, he only attempted to poo outside of it once. However he never pees in the litter box, and he always seems to find a different spot to pee on.
We recently changed our dogs from homemade food to Blue adult. Now both dogs have horrible gas. What can we do to prevent this?
Is it true that you can't give potoes to dogs? I have a small Chihuahua.
My male Yorkie, Romo, is very stubborn. I take him outside twice every morning and feed him in the evenings. He poops every morning, but still everyday when I get home there is a poop pile and a pee spot. Also every weekend when I'm home he's fine.
I found a kitten. It looks like his mom abandoned him. His eyes were shut and he had crust on his eyes. I cleaned it with warm water and his eyes are red and puffy. Should I take him to the vet or is it normal because the mom cat didn't clean his eyes?
I have a new pair of zebra finches. They laid eggs in their food bowl, so I put a nest and nesting material in their cage and removed the old eggs. After two weeks, they have finally laid another egg, but in the food bowl again. How can I get her to lay in the nest?
My 2 year old, 14 lb. terrier mix is intermittently peeing in the house. I've had her since she was 4 months, she had stitches from spaying. I umbilical trained her with the help of a trainer. I would shut her in my bedroom with a pee pad. She has a dog door too.
I have a 4 year old Pit. Recently she has started scratching herself to the point to where she's bled and has sores under her sides and eyes. It not fleas or mange.
We have a Jack Russell Terrier who is 15. He has become increasingly temperamental. For several years he has not liked to be touched and recently he tried to bite my husband when he tried to put him on a leash.
I would like to know what can I use to train my kittens to keep off the furniture and speakers. They are very active and want to jump up and climb plus scratch on everything. What can I do? They are 3-4 months old.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do for a puppy with stinky breath? I have a five month old Cocker and his breath stinks like anal glands. I brush his teeth at least every other day and am trying to do this more frequently.
My French Bulldog is 1yr and 2 months old and isn't potty trained. She would pee especially on her bed (I find it in the morning), on the other dog's bed, on the floor, couch - everywhere.
When is the ASPCA mobile truck coming to Brooklyn, so I can get my cat spayed? Please give me the date and costs.
I have a 1 year old pup. She was not crate trained correctly. The owner let her pee on the pee pad in the crate all the time. She would not pee outside when taken out, she thought it was play time. I have since trained her to pee outside right away. Now she pees inside the crate when I'm not home.
Our cat Puffy has been driving the entire family crazy with his peeing everywhere. We bought de-scenting sprays and special cleaners, which he ignored and re-marked all over the house. Some advice?
We have two female cats ages, 3.5 years and 15 years. We introduced a male kitten in the last 6 weeks. He has been 95% great about potty training. We have now noticed that our two female cats are pointedly going pee outside when they have supervised time in our back yard. Is this a sign of stress?
Where in the San Fernando Valley, California can I get free vet, grooming, and food for a dog? I will be going to get a rescue dog to be my service dog. I am very low income and handicapped and need this dog for my health, but have no money for vets, food, etc. that my dog will need.
My birds sit facing each other and put their beaks together and make lots of noises. Are they being affectionate or are they being overly aggressive? I don't know if I should enjoy this behavior or be concerned about them being in the same cage together.
Every September my cat looses hair, it looks broken, in patches on her tail, underbody, and legs. Vets in the past have given her a steroid injection which works for about a month.

I have got a two and a half month old kitten from the pet store. She came with fleas. She is very active and very energetic. Today 9/26/15 about 4 something in the morning she threw up two really big noodle looking live worms. What can I do until her vet appointment?
I have a 12 week old female Pit Bull. I want to train her for protection for my wife and kids when Im working nights. How do I go about making her attack an intruder that poses a threat on command? and call her off on command?
Our finches have had their second batch of eggs. Fin the first batch of 5 all of them died. I could see them moving, but they died before they were out of the shell. The second batch is hatching and the first bird lived two days.
Both my puppy and my 5 year old dog were exposed to parvo. My puppy came down with it and survived. How long after her recovery do I wait to disinfect my yard and house because I was told it remains in the feces for two weeks after they are better?
I want to mix baking soda with water to spray on my dogs paws. I have read that this will help to relieve itch. How much water and how much baking soda do I use?
My Miniature Schnauzer just had her first littler of puppies, 6 in total :) They are 4 days old. She is feeding them, however she just lays there barely moving and does not really clean them. She is eating and drinking and is not rejecting the puppies, she is just not interacting with them at all.
I have a 6-8 week old Pit Bull puppy. For the first 5 days she would wake up and cry to let me know she had to go potty. For the last 2 days she has been peeing in her bed while she is sleeping, when she is finished is when she now cries. Why is she doing this and what can I do to stop it?
We have a four month old St. Bernard. We have heard don't neuter him until at least 18 months old, but the vet says ASAP. He already has a cherry in one eye and she wants to do the eye surgery at the same time. Someone told me that if I neuter him too soon it will stunt his growth. What do we do?
I have a 2 month old Lab mixed with a German Shepherd that I brought home from the pet store 2 days ago. However all it does is lie around and sleep. She also does not eat, other than a spoonful or 2 of wet food. However when she interacts with other dogs she seems fine, but still doesn't eat.
I have a 6 year old female cat that has never peed on anything. About 2 weeks ago I had a good friend over for girls' night and she had too much wine and got sick on my 1 year old fabric couch and my area rug. I cleaned them both. Within a day my cat had peed on both the rug and the couch.
I have two puppies that where taken by two very young children, who were trying to sell them. I am trying to find the owners. I have fed them chicken and beef broth mixed with Purnia chow. One is throwing up and has runny stool. I know it is because they both need to be with their mother. What can I do?
My finches are officially parents and have 2 little hatchlings, it's my first time having bred birds and I'm not aware of the necessary precautions I would need to make sure of. I read around online that people do "nest checks" from the moment the eggs are laid til they are fledglings.
My boyfriend moved in with me and my dog 3 weeks ago. Zoe is completely house broken and has been since she was 3 months old. She is now 20 months. When Rick comes home she quickly changes and tucks her tail almost like she is scared and drops poop.
