Second Set of Zebra Finch Eggs?

I have a pair of zebra finches they ended up having 5 babies. All 5 babies just came out the nest about 2 weeks ago and is starting to eat on their own, but now mom is laying more eggs. 1 each day she's up to 4 eggs now. Is this normal? What should I do? And how can I prevent this from happening a 3rd time ?

Yes, it's normal. The eggs can accumulate up to eight eggs and it takes several weeks for the breeding cycle to end and up to two weeks for the eggs to hatch. The male finch will assist in the caring of the chicks.
