Recognizing Your Luggage

When on a recent trip, I noticed one traveler attached a colorful nylon "scrubbie" to his luggage. Not only was it cute, but really stood out from the rest of us with ribbon attached to our luggage. The dollar store sells them and really makes it easy to identify your luggage. Happy traveling!

Colored yarn made into pom pom's tired to the handle of the suitcase works well also.

Or you can use the leftover curled ribbons that come on gift packages.

Take one or two colored nylon zip strips and place them through the handle and zip them closed. They are hard to take off, are small but brightly colored so it's easy to see them.

I crochet - so made long vari-colored chains (using 4 different bright colors and LARGE afghan hook) with pompoms on the end for our luggage when we went on our cruise - was very easy to pick out on the racks!

I found some cheap stencils at a yard sale and painted brightly colored designs on our suitcases. They are very unique - some playful, some classy.

All great ideas! Also, I stand near where the luggage is coming out (not on the other side of the carousel). That way no one else has the opportunity to steal my bag if it's on the carousel too long.

I travel for a living, and have learned that there unfortunately are people who hang around luggage carousels just to steal bags. Sad.

I paint pictures on my black luggage. It's unique and easy to find.
