AntiPhishing Workgroup

Phishing is rampant. Phishing is a way to get you to put your login information into a fake site. They are getting better and better at making them look like the real thing by putting the real site behind, then having a popup window in front where you can login and send the information to the scammers. So you give them your login information, social security number or other information you don't want them to have.

The best advice I can give you is do not click on a link from your bank, Ebay, Paypal or your credit card company. Go to the sites directly and login from there. To see if the email you received is a phishing email look for it on the linked site below.
