Recipe: My Own Barbecue Sauce

We had a Labor Day cookout this past weekend and I realized at the last minute that I was almost out of barbecue sauce. I grabbed my Mr. Food cookbook and whipped this together really fast and it was a hit!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. worcestershire or steak sauce
  • 1 tsp. dry or 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard

Directions

In a medium-sized bowl, mix together all ingredients. Store in refrigerator until ready to use. Stir before using.

Note: This is best when used for roasting or grilling chicken.
