Luggage Damaged by the Airlines?

So you know that airlines will PAY to have your luggage repaired if it is damaged in-flight? You just have to go to customer service - have the damage noted and go to the repair place they refer you to. (A tip from my well-traveled sister.)

Wish I had known this last week. I didn't notice the damage to my luggage until I arrived home. I will check my luggage more carefully at the airport in the future. Thanks for the tip.
