Does anyone have any idea what shoe sizes would be in inches. I crochet slippers and usually just guess at sizes and have often wondered what sizes would be in inches. Thanks for the help.

Another interesting fact about foot length --- totally off the subject, but interesting, none the less --- is that your foot is the length of your arm from the wrist to the elbow. Try it and see!!

Your question made me curious! We're a household full of gals, all different shoe sizes. So I went and measured the soles of our shoes and found that - consistently - from toe to heel all the shoes and slippers measured an exact 2" more than the stated size of each shoe; i.e. size 8 was 10"; size 7 was 9" and mine(bigfoot) size 9 is ll inches. My daughter and granddaughters didn't believe it, so they measured their own footwear and it turned out Grandma was right! Hah! Hope this helps, you gave us an afternoon of fun, so we thank you.

Go to paylessshoes.com , click on any shoe, when there, click on measurement tips and under How To Measure there are mens, womens, and kids sizers that show inches, and you can print them out w/ Adobe acrobat ....can also click size chart when you pick the shoe and it shows something also. This will help, the how to measure part, it looks like Exactly what you need. monte86carlo @ msn .com (remove spaces) if you'd like to respond

Do you have a JCPenney catalog?? Usually they have a shoe size thing in there.
