They have a really nice beach that is not to crowded. We also drove down to Charleston one day. It is about an hour drive. They have an air craft carrier there, that is a museum called Patriots Point. You can also take a boat out to see Fort Sumter. We spent the whole day there, and even went on a horse drawn carriage ride, that told the history of the city. Going to Charelston was the highlight of our whole trip. You will not be dissapointed. There are tons of outlet stores if you enjoy shopping, there's the "traditional" Pavillion amusement park ( http://www.mbpavillion.com ), there are many different styles of "Broadway" type shows, or "Branson" type country music shows. Also, there is a medievil show and the "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" museum, and they are getting ready to open a "Hard Rock Themepark" -- Rock-and-Roll and rides, heaven for some. Lots of music. The aquarium. Just tons of stuff to do. You could spend a week there and never see the beach, LOL!
