A fun outdoor game for a toddler would be the dress up relay race. Kids of all ages will love this game. They object of this game is to put on all the correct clothing and accessories in the right position. (Ex. Hats on head, shoes on feet, pants on legs, shirts on body, ECT.) You must pass the finish line with all the items completely on you or you will be disqualified. If you end up dropping an item, go back to the item, pick it up, and then keep going! For kids that are 3 and under can have assistance of an adult to help them complete the relay.

Fill a large box with styrofoam peanuts. Bury presents or goodie bags in the peanuts. Let the kids dig until they find one. Blowing bubbles is fun. Dress up is fun-make it a relay where they dress and undress and then the next one does the same. Prize to the team finishing everyone first. Make it several or few articles of clothing depending in the age of the kids on each team. Little ones can have a dressing helper. Anything with water is fun. There are a gazillion books and magazines and articles on games for kids! Pinatas are faun, but you need to be careful no one gets hit by accident.

We played "ice fishing" at our VBS this year. Take a large roasting pan fill it with ice and then put some colorful marbles in it. Have the children take off their shoes and socks and try to pick up the marbles with their feet. It will cool everyone off very fast.
