Hi Everyone!

Time for an update

I am 72 years old and have been married to the same husband, Paul, for 51 years. We have 3 grown children, and lots of Grandkids and Great-Grandkids. The picture was taken in March 2011. Our daughter, Robin and son-in-law, Frank took us on a Caribbean Cruise to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. I called it our 'belated Honeymoon Cruise' since we never had a honeymoon.

We enjoy fishing, singing and playing Gospel, Bluegrass, and Classic Country Music. My husband plays the Harmonica, and, I didn't think I had a musical bone in my body, but am now playing a drum, and singing.  I now have added an electric keyboard to my musical skills, Well not  too skillful yet, but am practicing. Just learning to chord the rhythm, but somebody has to do it! lol!

We also have been craft vendors for about 40 years. Our crafts have been varied over the years, but for the past 7 years we have been creating wooden Yard Art. My website, as listed above, is still a work in progress, and I will be updating it soon. I plan to add a Nativity Scene for the upcoming holiday season.  My website is

I also enjoy cooking,  gardening and crochet and knitting. I like to read, too, but outside of reading newsletters on the internet, my book reading is about limited to waiting time at the doctor's office, and that is very limited.   It seems like there is never a dull moment in our lives and no time for boredom. And never enough hours in a day to do all the things we would like to do. Thrifty Fun is still my favorite site on the net. And I love the whole Thrifty Fun family.

Use Hard Candies As Packing MaterialThis tip is prompted by a package I received today from my daughter. What a clever means of packing she has come up with. This won't work for all your packages, but if it is going to somebody special, this will make it extra special.
