Cleaning Red Stain on Carpet?

I've got two big red stains in my carpet. I don't know what it is, Kool-aid or some kind of red drink

I have had good success using vinegar to remove old wine stains.

Vinegar sets a color in the fiber. Haven't you ever dyed Easter eggs or put vinegar in your Levi's. Don't use on a carpet unless you want a permanent dot on it. I could be wrong but it's common sense. Ammonia and steam iron just over the stain and don't press down too hard or you will burn the carpet and the fibers will separate...

That is of course unless it on a low setting but most steam works on high. So just go over it without pressing on the carpet just keep blotting and pressing the steam.... I just removed three day old cherry mango popsicle juice that melted and I forgot about it on a beige apparent carpet and it's out completely.... No vinegar though!!
