- 2 Tbsp. butter (not margarine)
- 1/2 head cabbage, cut up into 1 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 Tbsp. garlic, minced
- 3-4 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 large red onion, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. parsley
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- 5 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
In a fry pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the cabbage, garlic, olive oil, onion, parsley, and bacon, salt and pepper. Cover and stir occasionally (make certain this doesn't burn). If needed, add more butter or oil to the pan. Cook for 15-20 minutes. Make certain the cabbage is still somewhat firm, not soupy. Season again with salt and pepper and serve.
