I am looking to make cross stitch placemats with loose ends. I am looking for the method to do this, please let me know if any of you have the method. Thank you.

You can use a piece of burlap and fray the edges. Draw your pattern on a piece of graph paper to get an idea of how it will look when you stitch it. You can back it by sewing on a piece of felt.
