Meaning of Paxton Knitting Pattern Abbreviations?

What does Sm Pr and Pr/NB mean? I have these abbreviations in a pattern I have. It is an American pattern for a premature/new born baby jacket, the design is called Paxton.

Are these abbreviations actually in the pattern as part of the stitches?? Going by what you gave for information, I would guess, it is there to give you an indication of the size it will turn out. So the ones that are marked "Sm Pr" would equate a Small-Premature size. The ones marked "Pr NB" would be Premature-Newborn size.
