How and when did you get your pet?
We decided that we would like to raise a few chickens for eggs. We got them from a neighbor who breeds chickens. It will be a fun activity to do as a family. We plan on retiring them once they are no longer laying, so they will get to enjoy long and happy lives. :)
These sex linked chickens are a popular backyard breed. These red hens are friendly and inquisitive. The adult hen weighs about 5 pounds and is a prolific layer of large brown eggs.
