Dakota's Garden
My best tip, garden with your children or grandchildren. Dakota is 2 and we have fixed him a place to plant the better boy tomatoes he picked out and he planted 2 marigolds to help keep the bugs away.
You spend time with your children and they learn a lot!

This idea is SOOOO very cool! ...Last year when my granddaughter was 4 I planted sugar-peas (with edible pods) in a planter for her to water on her apartment's balcony. She'd go out each day & water them (I used a clay pot for drainage) & eventually she got to pick some of those peas herself to eat...
What a learning experience!
