To remember to take my cell phone with me after charging it in the bathroom, I put my purse in the bathroom, too. Haven't left the phone and taken my purse since I started doing that!
I would think that the dampness of a bathroom is not a safe place for charging a cell phone. I am always hearing about the dangers of your cell phone getting wet.
