Styrofoam Finger Puppet

Child's finger puppet made from Styrofoam ball. Styrofoam ball puppet.

 

Approximate Time: One half hour or less

Supplies:

  • 4 inch diameter Styrofoam ball
  • red felt 5 inches by 9 inches
  • 2 purchased eyes, one half inch diameter or larger
  • red pompom
  • scraps of yarn for hair
  • glue gun

Instructions:

  1. Cut Styrofoam ball in half using a sharp knife.

  2. Cut felt in one piece to fit both sides of ball as shown in photo 1. Glue to Styrofoam. gluing felt to ball

     
  3. On opposite side of felt "hinge" glue eyes and pompom to make face.

  4. Glue yarn to top and sides of upper half of puppet only.

  5. Poke three holes in the back, one in the bottom half and two in the top half of head to fit child's fingers. (Photo 2) finger holes
