Does anyone wanna take a collection up for the Iowa flood people? I'm willing to help some, not sure how we go about it, but the gesture is here. Thanks.

Donita from MO

Editor's Note: Donita has a great idea. I am sure there are some wonderful organizations already working on this effort. If you know of a charity working on the flood relief effort, feel free to post it below.

My Home town is Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
If you want to help these flood victoms here is two ways you can.
Rev. Jim Coyle is one of the men who went door to door to get the residence of the Time Check area to leave there homes. That is why CR did not have any deaths during this disaster.
We IOWAN's thank you for your help.

Checks earmarked for Cedar Rapids flood relief can be mailed to:
The Salvation Army
P.O. Box 8056
Cedar Rapids, 52408-8056

The Rev. Jim Coyle of
Ellis Community Church
1300 Sixth St. NW
Cedar Rapids Iowa 52405

I'd love to donate some money for the flood. Those people need help, & maybe more out here can help as well. We just never know when things are gonna hit our home, so if you can help any dab will do. Have a great week.

If you're interested I'm trying to raise $500 to help a family rebuild their home and livelihood in Cedar Rapids. We've already got $190 but we need more... even $5 or $10 would be great.

Please donate if you have it, and tell your friends about it! This is one way to make a tangible difference in a person's life.

If you're interested in more regionalized charity efforts, the Red Cross always accepts donations, as does FeedTheChildren and a few other much larger organizations.
