For labrador retrievers, mix one part listerine, one part water and spray on after bathing to cut down on the lab smell.

Mosquitoes don't like listerine is an added bonus. I'll have to try list after her broken leg heals :( and she can take a bath.

I've never had Labs, but had two mini long haired Doxies. One lived to be 19 1/2 years and the other 16 years. I used Flex shampoo and conditioner and they smelled wonderful, and their coats were soft and silky. No tangles. GG Vi
