Don't throw those old books or magazines away - donate old magazines and books to your local nursing home or doctors office for others to enjoy while they wait or while they have nothing better to do. You'd be surprised at how many people will pick up a book or magazine to read while they have nothing else to do.

We live near a hospital so that's where I take mine.
Thanks for the reminder, Gem. I have a couple of back issues of Reader's Digest I need to take to my next doctor's appointment.
There is a dialysis center near me. I take magazines there.
I work in a nursing home here in FL and we are always grateful for fairly current magazine donations. They come in handy as something to offer our visitors as well as our residents. Sometimes family members enjoy having a magazine to look at during a visit with their loved one....especially if that family member is unable to communicate. Men's magazines (sports, news, fishing, money, etc ) are important too!
