Traditional Arikara Nation Costumes
Traditional Arikara Nation Costumes
I call this "Country living at its finest, circa 1828" at Fort Union Trading Post NHS. Park Ranger Loren Yellow Bird and his son Patrick, members of the Arikara Nation, look like they have stepped from a Karl Bodmer painting.

the outfits are beautiful. for future referance, if you are referring to a traditional outfit of a culture, the less offensive way to refer to it is either "clothing" or "regalia". costumes imply they are not of the culture and are doing make-believe
